Sailboat on the Gulf. 4 1/2 " X 6" Original Pastel art Sailboat on the Gulf is an original pastel inspired by a sailboat sailing the Gulf of Mexico. The lone sailboat is the focal point. The golden sky provides a warm background for the boat. I was wandering Siesta Key beach, watching the activity on the water and taking photographs. I came home and created this from a photo, memory, and imagination. The warm gold and copper colors are harmonious. The cool blue in the sail is a contrast to the warm colors.
